I haven’t been active here, sorry – but PremPlace will be back

Hi there! I haven’t written anything since the Champions League final on June 1, and I wanted to give another little update about what’s going on. I’ve been too busy to come here every day and write a blog or research and write an in-depth article, and that’s going to continue for the next while.

Back in February, my Fiancée and I found out that we would be having a baby. Since then we’ve found out that we’ll be having a boy. We are, of course, absolutely over the moon. We seriously couldn’t be happier, and we can’t wait to meet him in the next few weeks.

Since we found out she was pregnant, it’s all been a bit hectic. We’ve been busy getting everything in place for him, and we’ve been working hard to ensure he can get the best possible start in life. I’ve also been doing some courses over the last few months so I can get a new job.

The time was always going to come when I had to take a step up from my current role. There is no way I can balance writing here with studying, getting everything ready for our baby and spending time with my Fiancée and family. So the blog has had to take a back seat for the time being. I absolutely love writing here, but it can’t take priority over those other things as they’re far more important.

I am positive that I will get back to writing here more often in the future, though. I doubt I’ll ever get back to writing a blog every single day like I used to because that’s far too time-consuming and that was very tough in the past when I was trying to balance it with everything else. But, because I love writing so much, I made sure I could fit it in.

I promised myself that whatever happens and no matter how busy I become, PremPlace will never just disappear because I put so much time and energy into creating and maintaining the website. It would kill me to see it all gone. So, while it’s unlikely the daily blog will ever come back, there definitely will be something. Whether that’s getting back on track with the in-depth articles or something different entirely, I don’t know, but there will certainly be something.

Anyway, I’ll leave it there for now. I can see by the website statistics that people are still coming to read the in-depth stuff every day, and I’d like to thank you for that. I don’t make any money from the website as there are no ads or anything here, but I never minded that because writing makes me happy.

I’m still watching football of course, and loving it as much as ever! This season is going to be very interesting and I’m looking forward to seeing it unfold. Can Liverpool beat Manchester City to the title this season? Or is it going to be three in a row for Pep Guardiola’s side? And how will the top four go with Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester United all making some good signings during the summer, while Chelsea serve their transfer ban? Can those teams who finished between seventh and 11th last season close the gap on the top six? And how will the newly promoted sides get on and will there be a real relegation scrap this season? It promises to be another great nine or so months of football.

I know I said I’ll leave it there and then went on a ramble, but that’s what happens to me! I would seriously sit here and write all day if I could because the words just keep coming! I really will leave it here, though. Thanks again for coming here to read what I have to say, and I’ll update you on any new developments.

Bye for now.
