Mo Salah, World Cup, Sergio Ramos is a really lovely man (cough)

Hello there. It’s Monday again. Yay.

It’s extremely quiet in terms of news, so I think this will be a short one. I could look at the Champions League final again, but I don’t really want to. I think everything that needs to be said has already been said. Is there a point in saying some things twice? Well, maybe. Let’s try it: Sergio Ramos is a prick. Yep, that worked for the second time. I might get tomorrow out of that one too.

Seriously though, I really can’t be arsed revisiting it too much. Liverpool fans don’t want to keep reading about it and I’m sure fans of other clubs are sick of hearing about it too. I’m not sure there’s any point in breaking it down and talking about how it went tactically and all the rest, since it went how it went.

There was some good news yesterday, as Mo Salah said that he is confident he’ll make it to the World Cup.

I really hope he does, because you really want to see all the best players playing in the World Cup. You also want to see the best players playing in the Champions League final, of course, but Sergio Ramos is a prick.

It’s about two and a half weeks until the World Cup, which is quite a long time to wait for some football. I feel like a heroin addict at times as I wait for football to come back and get into my system. I need it to survive. Well, there’s a slight chance I’m exaggerating just a little bit now, and maybe I could live without it, but that’s not the point. I’m clearly not addicted to football as much as somebody would be addicted to heroin, but you know what I’m trying to say.

It’s only 74 days until the Premier League returns [cries]. 73 days if the first game is played on a Friday night, which I think it will be, because it was last year. That’ll be August 10. Thank fuck there’s a World Cup, because I’m not sure I could do it without one.  I know I’ve done summers without football in the past, but I think it would be a lot harder for me to get through it now since I write about it. I’ll have that problem next year, but hopefully I’ll be a better writer by then and coming up with exciting things to talk about won’t be a problem. That’s not a problem for now though.

So, what have you learned from this post? That Salah thinks he’ll be OK for the World Cup? I’m sure you already knew that. You also learned that Sergio Ramos is a prick, twice, (three times now; four if you include yesterday) but you definitely already knew that as well. So you’re not really getting anything from it. But it’s still nice to be here reading this, isn’t it? Yes, it is, thanks and you’re welcome. What?

I’m not sure where you live or whether they sell Weetabix in your part of the world, but that’s what I’m eating now. It’s not any old Weetabix though. They’re ‘Crispy Minis’ and they’re fruit and nut. They’re really, really nice. I’m not even a huge fan of raisins, but they’re nice in this. So that’s how I’m starting my morning off. Weetabix and coffee. Can’t go wrong. This post is sponsored by Weetabix. It’s not really, but if you’re from Weetabix and would like to get in touch about sponsorship, just fill out the contact form above. Thanks!

Anyway, I think that’s enough for this morning. I hope I haven’t bored you too much. I hope tomorrow will be better. Let’s hope some news comes up today. News on Twitter throughout the day, as always. See you tomorrow.
