In this article, we will explore the Brighton & Hove Albion F.C. vs Everton F.C. timeline, results and fixtures. We are well aware that football didn’t begin in 1992 when the Premier League began, but we have limited resources and had to start somewhere. We decided the beginning of the Premier League was as good a place as any and would provide more than enough insight into the recent history and results of Brighton vs Everton.
I have timeline into multiple sections based on seasons, beginning with the most recent fixtures in order to improve readability.

Our Brighton & Hove Albion F.C vs Everton F.C Timeline and Results article first takes us to the Amex, where there was a goal-fest in May 2023 as Everton hammered Brighton 5-1. The result was a huge shock: Brighton were flying and sitting in seventh, chasing a European qualification place, while Everton were 19th and in real trouble of relegation. The win lifted the Toffees out of the relegation zone. Everton went on to stay up, finishing in 17th place, while Brighton finished sixth and qualified for the Europa League.

We’re back to the Amex, where Brighton came from 2-1 down to win 3-2 with just 10 minutes remaining, courtesy of a last-gasp Lucas Digne own-goal. Also a mention for Pascal Gross’ goal: a thumping free-kick. The replay shows it was quite close to Jordan Pickford and maybe he should’ve done better, but there was some power on the strike:

We look to the Amex again for our next video, where Wayne Rooney scored a late penalty to earn a point for Everton. The Toffees almost went on to win the game in the dying seconds, but for some incredible goalkeeping from Mat Ryan:
Brighton were promoted to the Premier League for the first time on 17th April 2017. It was their first time in the top flight for 34 seasons. Everton have been an ever-present in the Premier League and haven’t been relegated since 1951. The last time the the clubs played prior to their meeting in 2017 was in 1983, in the old First Division. Everton won the game 2-1.
